Is it true hollywood films purposely make asian guys look bad..?

I'm not sure if this is true or not. I'm talking about recent films since say...2009. I just saw Transformers 3, which was a bloody awful movie that I could hardly bare. I was concerned with the scene with that asian dude. The asian dude also plays "Chang" i think in the tv series Community? I believe he has a positive role there but in this movie im just like "WHAT THE F*CK ?" Anyway am I overexaggerating or what?
