Youtube - implications of uploading copyrighted materials?

usually google has the parts taken off so they wont have to make a deal or get the lawsuit sense it is on their servers they are the ones that have to be sure it doesn't happen even if its were they can sue after being sued it usually comes up being their fault for not keeping a closer eye on what people upload....also not only can people get sue for using copyrighted materials for public eyes they can get a fine and a time in jail
